Summer of 2016 has been incredible. This was the summer that I pushed myself beyond my comfort zone and tried new things and saw new places: From exploring the Yale University campus to making robots move in my Girls Who Code summer program at FIU. My summer was also as series of binge-watching Netflix, late night poetry sessions with my close friend (you know who you are), and preparing for college essays.
I got lost in the Met!
We spent a week in New York. I miss it already.
Yale was so beautiful. As a college prep scholar, I had the opportunity to meet admissions officers and tour the campus.
In Girls Who Code, we did various projects including making a virtual boombox that played our music!
We made robots move in my summer program.
I did some “summer” cleaning, but ended up keeping almost everything. I’m a hoarder.
Finally the time has come to start my college apps.
I am a Girls Who Code alumna!
For seven weeks I tackled the world of coding. And loved it!
